Annual Sports Day 2025 – A Grand Celebration of Talent
APS School celebrated its Annual Sports Day with over 500 students participating in 30+ events.
APS School's Annual Sports Day 2025, held on March 15th on the school's sprawling sports ground, was nothing short of spectacular. Under the gracious presence of our Chief Guest, District Sports Officer Mr. Hemant Rao, over 500 students from classes LKG to VIII showcased their athletic prowess in more than 30 diverse sporting events.
A Day to Remember
The event began with a colourful march-past led by the school's cultural team, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial torch — a tradition that has marked the start of Sports Day at APS for the past decade. The atmosphere was electric, with parents, teachers, and students cheering together from the stands.
This year's theme — "Stronger Together" — was reflected not just in the team events but in the incredible spirit of sportsmanship displayed by all participants. From sprint races and long jumps to relay races and tug-of-war, every student brought their personal best to the track.
Star Performers
Class VII student Rohan Mehta stole the limelight with three gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and Long Jump events. Meanwhile, the Class V girls' relay team set a new school record in the 4×100m relay race, completing it in an impressive 58.4 seconds.
Champion House
After a full day of intense competition, Agni House emerged as the Overall Champions, with Phoenix House as the runners-up. The trophy presentation ceremony was a touching moment as students and their coaches celebrated together.
Words from the Principal
"Sports teach our students lessons that no textbook can — teamwork, resilience, and the ability to rise after a fall. Today, every child who stepped onto this field is a champion," said Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Principal, APS School.
The day concluded with a cultural performance and a grand prize distribution ceremony. Parents praised the excellent organisation and the school's commitment to nurturing sporting talent alongside academic excellence.
